Why Lothian Tutors
A premium education company, not a marketplace.
We exist for families who view their child's education as a serious investment, and who expect the people teaching them to reflect that seriousness.
Selected for excellence
Every tutor is carefully selected for academic distinction, outstanding communication and a genuine love of teaching. We turn down many more applicants than we accept.
Built on relationships
Tuition is personal. We invest the time to understand each student before recommending a tutor, and we stay close to the family throughout.
Aligned to the syllabus
Lessons are aligned to the exact exam board, whether SQA, AQA, OCR, Edexcel or the IB. Nothing wasted, nothing missed.
Confidence first, grades follow
We teach students to think clearly and trust their own reasoning. Improved grades are the natural consequence.
Quietly rigorous
No gimmicks, no apps, no shortcuts. Just careful teaching, honest feedback and steady progress.
Considered and discreet
Many of the families we work with value discretion. We treat every engagement with the professionalism it deserves.
"Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel."
